Gore-met, Zombie Chef from Hell (1986)
Directed by Don Swan
Dear lord, what did I watch? Back in the 80s and 90s, you would see VHS covers and they would totally sell you on the movie you were renting. There were hundreds of great ones, Ghoulies, Evil Dead 2, Dead Alive, Chopping Mall, all great! Sometimes the movies had crazy over the top covers, Goremet Zombie Chef from Hell is one of those. We’re talkin a chopped up arm, an eye ball, tomatoes and a meat cleaver. Was this as good as the other awesome vhs cover movies?
Goremet, Zombie Chef from Hell is shit. Straight forward, just crap lol. I don’t really know what the plot is. From what I take, a dude is cursed to live for eternity, but he has to consume human flesh, and dislike it. So naturally its the 80s now and the dude has a deli, where he chops up people and feeds them to other people. Why? Not sure but hey here we are!

This movie, is only a movie by definition. I told my buddy that I think someone had a VHS camcorder and $20, decided to make a movie. When I asked him if he’s ever seen it he replied with:
"I think I had the option to, but I decided to have diarrhea instead."
I guess I should’ve taken the choice that Jack did. The acting in this movie is horrendous, we’re not even talking The Room levels of crap, not even Birdemic levels. This is Manos levels of incompetent. So if you’re into that shit, then here you go!

The effects are lacking, for a movie with the vhs cover it has. Granted I watch this movie passively but I can’t remember a specific amount of gore that blows me away. Last year I took a chance on Nudist Colony of the Dead, and man that was a fun shit movie. This however is lousy and not worth your time. It is a big badge to have this in the VHS collecting world, mostly for the cover I’m sure. I give this an F.
