The effects are pretty solid. The zombies look pretty awesome by 80s standards. I love that they have maggots on them, its gruesome and a nice gross touch. The kills are pretty gory, we see lots of organ gobbling and flesh devouring. You don’t see much in the way of someone dying, mostly just they scream then they’re on the floor and the zombies are eating their guts. I’m fine with that, it is still effective to me.

He's easily 10 right?
Acting wise, this movie is on par with many low budget zombie flicks. Nothing great, a lot to laugh at but nothing too crazy. We do get a 25 (at least) year old man playing a young boy which I can only assume is suppose to be 10ish? Idk he calls his smoking hot mom, “Mama” the whole movie and acts very childish. The smokin hot mom gets naked basically 5 minutes into the movie and bangs some dude. The “boy” wakes up from a dead sleep and walks in on them. Instead of covering up quickly the mom runs over by a fireplace and partial covers herself. You can still see her tits, plain as day, if not better because of the light of the fireplace. I’m not sure the point of that within the world of the movie, I get it from the film standpoint. The lady is pretty attactive, has a nice body and they want to give you the money shot. Anyway the boy later goes on to try and feel his mom up, much farther into the film. Odd relationship that is never fully explained. Everyone else, acting wise, is standard for this genre.
If you don’t care about a solid plot, with twisting storylines and explanation, then maybe this is for you. Hell, I’ve mentioned numerous times that Imma too stoopid to follow Italian horror storylines. If you want a zombie movie that is wacky and heavy on gore, than you’ll like this. I ended up giving Burial Ground a B-.
