Don’t Panic is about a teenage boy (he’s actually closer to 35 lol) with a love for Dinosaur Jammies, that has a birthday party and they use a ouiji board to contact the dead, smart move! Anyhoo, things go awry, and the boy ends up seeing visions of people dying. A demon named Virgil possesses one of his friends and starts taking people out left and right. A big change for Virgil, going from being the henchman of the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, to being Olive Garden’s #1 fan, to now possessing people and killing them off. Wow. Curly headed dino jammie guy has to race to save whom is left of his friend group.

The special effects were actually quite solid! One dude gets stabbed through the bottom of his jaw and up through his face with a dagger. That was pretty awesome. The acting is somewhat decent. The main girl has a unibrow (see the picture below for the amaziness) which is weird because besides that caterpillar on her face she’s stunningly beautiful. I’m not sure if this was trying to pretend it was set in the US or not but there are scenes in crowds where everyone is easily Mexican haha.
Who was the stylist for this sweet girl. Look at her! She’s a peach, but damn that unibrow! Hell I love the mall hair, but that brow…
There are a lot of odd things in this movie. When Blonde Curly mullet guy gets his visions his eyes turn bright red, which is funny. Why are his eyes red? It is never truly explained, but hey that’s this movie right? The demon is very much a Freddy Krueger wannabe and this is truly a rip off of many slashers, bundled into one movie. Which hey, makes a fun movie to me so who cares right? I love how their way of making this 35 year old dude, with the WCW Sid Vicious hair look like a teenager is to dress him like a little boy the whole movie, the math really checks out!
I really enjoyed this. it is dumb and campy but has a innocent charm. The dinosaur pajamas was just awkward. It is like they were taking a 35 year old dude and dressing him like he’s 8, hoping it will even out to being 17 like the character is presented haha. I give Don’t Panic a B. It’s a shitty movie but the best kind, the fun kind.
