10 of the Most Bizarre Slasher Movies (in no order)
-Tourist Trap (1979)
Group of young people visit an old roadside wax museum and the strange old man that owns it. It is truly odd when supernatural things happen and The Rifleman, Chuck Connors gives a creepy performance as the killer.
-Fatal Games (1987)
A team of track and field stars train for the Olympics while a killer knocks them off one by one. I really can’t say much more about it, but just know the ending is bat shit crazy.
-Memorial Valley Massacre (1989)
A caveman kills campers at a new campground on Memorial Day weekend. Yeah…a caveman.
-Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil (1992)
A psychotic priest kills high schoolers on their prom night. I guess the idea is kind of interesting but the way its handled is rather hilarious, it is definitely entertaining.
-Pieces (1982)
An insane person is going around a college campus basically harvesting body parts from women and attaching them together to make a jigsaw woman. It is as crazy as it sounds, the ending is both strange and hilarious.
-Happy Birthday to Me (1981)
Ok so the whole movie isn’t weird per say but it takes a hard right into the bizarre zone at the end. I won’t ruin the ending because it is basically the movie’s only memorable part.
-The Slumber Party Massacre 2 (1987)
Ok its produced by Roger Corman, what did you expect? A killer that looks like the unholy child of Elvis and Andre Dice Clay kills girls at a slumber party with a giant drill on an over the top glam metal electric guitar. It is basically twice as weird as it sounds. COMPLETE WITH DANCE SCENE!!!
-A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985)
AKA the gay one. This sequel strays really far from the original idea. When are they dreaming? Oh, wait they aren’t dreaming and Freddy can somehow just walk around in real life? He’s possessed a kid? Why is everything so homoerotic? This is what you will be asking yourself.
-Iced (1989)
It is kind of a confusing story, since a lot of the characters look alike. Basically, a dude dies skiing during a trip to a resort. Some odd years later they meet back up at the resort and people start dying off. The end of the film is beyond stupid, I mean you just have to YouTube that ending, you’ll laugh your ass off like I did.
-The Initiation (1984)
This one starts off like a run of the mill slasher, they spend a little more time developing characters though. As the film progresses it starts getting odd, until the end and the shit hits the fan. The ending is rather cliché but funny at the same time.
