- Halloween (1978)
My favorite movie, of any genre. It has aged incredibly well, and it basically started the slasher trend, which is my favorite subgrenre of horror. - Halloween II (1981)
A pretty good follow up and could be played back to back with the original. It upped the violence which is ok but that added story of Michael and Laurie being siblings is kind of meh, especially in hindsight. - Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
A fun entry. It has its flaws but all in all a fun movie. I’ll forever remember that I bought this on VHS at Zellers in Canada for $5 Canadian lol. Danielle Harris does an amazing job in this. - Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
The redheaded step child of the franchise. So many people couldn’t/can’t get over the fact that Michael isn’t in it, but man what a crazy and fun movie. The novelization is also stellar. - Halloween (2018)
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this movie but I was really surprised. I enjoyed it a lot, it has its flaws, like the Loomis ripoff putting the mask on, that was lame but a worthy sequel. - Halloween H20 (1998)
One of the first in the series that I saw. I was 12 at the time and was really getting into the 90s slashers. H20 came around at the right time for me. It is dated and has some goofy things but Jamie Lee Curtis was awesome in it. - Halloween Kills (2021)
A lot of people hate this movie and focuse solely on the “Evil Dies Tonight” chant constantly going on. The opening was awesome and the pace was great until the hospital scenes, which completely derailed the movie, it struggled to come back from that, but not a bad movie. - Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
Many say this is one of the worst, there are two versions and both have their flaws. It is bad, don’t get me wrong but it has grown on me. Paul Rudd is bad in this and it is funny to see what he’s become in comparison. - Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
BORING. That is the worst part of this one. Danielle Harris is mute in this, for reasons. The director was an idiot. Dr Loomis has some crazy moments and his lines are great as well, great as in over the top Loomis. Oh and Tina….ugh. - Halloween (2007)
I liked this movie when it came out. Subsequent watches have changed my mind. The first third is awful, young Michael looks goofy, the dialogue is horrible, BEYOND horrible. The second third is ok, passable if anything, the ending was alright but damn, Laurie just screams for 35 mins straight. - Halloween Ends (2022)
Poop. After the first two in this trilogy, I was expecting more. Michael is barely in it, and when he is he plays bitch lapdog to some guy named Corey. Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job and how Michael is killed is awesome but the movie as a whole kept me rolling my eyes and sighing. - Halloween Resurrection (2002)
They tried something different, and it sucked. It doesn’t feel like a Halloween movie at all, it is so all over the place. Busta Rhymes doing kung fu? I guess. No true final girl that is worth a shit, she couldn’t even scream haha. Michael dies in the worst way ever. Trick or treat….mutha fucka! - Halloween II (2009)
This movie is an abismal mess. Rob Zombie didn’t really want to do a sequel and he was basically forced. He shoe horned a lot of weird garbage into it. Flashbacks, the white horse, and MIchael yelling “DIE” at Loomis. Ugh. This movie is a painful rewatch and I hope I never have to watch it again.
